A very nice WW1 Identification Penny to: 258496 Corporal Robert John WHITE, sixth Canadian Railway Troop . WHITE was Killed in Action, twelve August, 1918 with rank of Sergeant on the last day of the Battle of Amiens. This battle occurred from eight to 12 August. This was a copper penny that was likely flattened with a rail car by WHITE while serving with the sixth CRT and then scratch engraved by himself. It looks to be an unfinished Identification Bracelet that was given to a girlfriend or family member. A curious and interesting item to a KIA soldier. Please review the photos provided...
